Abstract

The development and assessment of alkali-activated materials has become increasingly widespread over the past few years. Alkali activation is a rapidly developing field of activity in the research society. Such a great interest of alkali activated materials resulted in a large amount of waste recycling. Provis et al. identify important needs for future research and development to support the optimal and appropriate utilization of alkali activated materials as a component of a sustainable future construction materials industry. The aim of this research was to evaluate the influence of aluminum hydroxide additive on the physical and mechanical properties of alkali-activated slag.
